Nakheel issues new tenders for its projects on Palm Jumeirah

The surviving property developer from the impacts of financial crisis has recently issued tenders for its previous launched-shopping and leisure schemes on the artificial archipelago, Palm Jumeirah. It is the Nakheel Properties that has separated from its parent-company after its successfully-restructured billions of debt from lenders and contractors.
One of the company’s tenders is regarding with its project for constructing the $680.7 million Shopping Mall on the Palm Jumeirah, which is a complex that comprises of the following features: five levels of retail; a roof-top plaza with fine-dining restaurants; a butterfly park; five-star hotel which is spread over 40-storeys with a rooftop restaurant; lounge; and a swimming pool. In addition, there will be around 200 shops, including the supermarket that has a total of 4, 200 square meters as well as a pair of anchor department stores.
Moreover, Nakheel has also issued another tender for its project development on the same area but located on the opposite side of the bay to Atlantis Hotel. It is ‘The Pointe’ Development project worth of $217.8 million that has particularly a mix of luxury retail units, cafes, patisseries, and restaurants.
Then, lastly, it has issued another tender for building its recently-launched 'Club Vista Mare' project which will be a beachfront development that will be directly linked to the above-mentioned planned shopping mall and will be a two-storey building as well. Furthermore, it will also consist of eight restaurants and cafes, retail areas, gym facilities, and a total of 33 studio apartments.
Now, as Chairman of Nakheel, Ali Rashid Lootah said that having such new mall on Palm Jumeirah will probably enhance both the services and facilities to be available to all residents of the latter. Then, it will be a new exciting destination for leisure and business travelers from other countries if it is once totally-completed.
