DPG appoints a new Contractor

In Dubailand, the construction for the phase 1 of Mudon Development, one of the mega development projects of Dubai Properties Group (DPG) which is also part of Dubai Holding owned by the Ruler of the Emirate is about to begin; for the latter has recently announced that it has already appointed a new principal contractor for the project. It was the Shapoorjii Pallonji Middle East LLC, a construction company in the region.

The project is, in the first place, located in the aforementioned growing district, in which the newly-appointed contractor will be responsible for completing a total of 348 four-bedroom townhouses which are set in a courtyard themed-master plan. There will be a number of different sizes of land being offered to investors that will range from 3, 200 square feet up to 8, 000 square feet. Furthermore, each of the townhouses will be having the following: two living areas; maid’s room; four bathrooms; and a courtyard garden.

According to Khalid Al Malik, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DPG, he said that appointing Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast LLC is indeed considered as a major milestone in the completion of the project that will let the company deliver its first phase to investors. So far, he added that the important infrastructure at the community has been already made, including the substation; main roads; drainage and sewer networks due for completion date.

As a matter of fact, the plan for such mega project of DPG was initially intended as a 73 meters mixed-use development that includes thousands of villas, townhouses, and apartments. In addition, there will be also some retail outlets, commercial space, hotels, restaurants, and a golf course.
